Black Maxi Dress for Third Trimester

I finally got over my head cold this week! Besides a lingering cough, I felt pretty good Sunday and was able to go to church again. My dress is new, I wasn’t going to order any more maternity clothes since I’m in my third trimester, but I couldn’t pass up this dress from Pink Blush Maternity for $15.

Black Maxi Dress with Pink Shrug

It is really soft and comfortable. I did have to laugh when I first put it on, the totally solid black look with long sleeves didn’t look like me. It was just a bit…dark. But once I added the pink shrug to it I really liked the dress. It’s a little lower cut than what I normally wear, so I wore an Undercover Mama tank underneath it, and remembered to put a hand up top on my dress whenever I bent over. 😉

Third Trimester Glow!

I don’t own large fashion statement necklaces, so a simple pearl necklace and pearl earrings finished the outfit for me.

What I Wore

Dress – Pink Blush Maternity (it looks like this particular dress is no longer available)

Shrug – ThredUP (Gently Used Clothing – get a free $10 credit as a new customer!)

Shoes – Thrift Store

Makeup – L’BRI Pure and Natural (check out the new website they have! It is awesome, and has lot of the ingredients listed beside each product. All the skincare sets are on sale this month!)

  1. I love this outfit, the pink shrug makes the whole outfit, you are definitely blooming. Thanks for hosting. Blessings

  2. It’s a very pretty dress and it looks like it would be very comfortable, which is something very much desired in those last months of pregnancy. Thanks for hosting today!

  3. You look stunning – your anti-frumpness is really redefining what pregnancy looks like. And that you can still look serene is something of eye-stretching impossibility, but you do!

  4. Thanks for hosting a great party:)

  5. Beautiful outfit, Caroline. I hope you will let me use your pics as my model?
    Thanks for the link up.
    God Bless.

    Hello Caroline,
I just have a question,I don’t know if you have control over what is appearing on the sidebars and header? Lately there are lotto ads and this morning something about Ellen DeGeneres right over the About Caroline, it is so distracting and I am disappointed I have to shoo my kids out or just turn it off. Maybe this just comes on its own? But it never used to.
    Thank you!

    • I’ve been working with a company on sidebar ads, if you see something that is really offensive, please let me know (saving the ad and emailing it to me is the best) and I can get it taken down. What you see is totally different than what I see (a lot of it is based on previous computer searches, etc), so its hard for me to know exactly what is popping up. Right now I’m seeing an ad for Dell computers and a college. For the most part I’ve been ok with the ads I’ve seen pop up. I’m sorry about that!

  7. You look wonderful in your black maxi dress!! Thanks for the linkup!!

  8. That dress looks absolutely gorgeous on you and you look like very pretty pregnant lady. When are you due?

  9. Cheryl @Treasures from a Shoebox says:

You have got to be one of the most adorable pregnant ladies. Ever. ☺

  10. I love this link up, there are so many useful helps for me as homeschooling mom. Thanks!
