The Best of Modest Monday, A Link Up, and a Contest!!

best-of-modest-monday

I’m doing something different for Modest Monday today! It’s getting towards the end of the year, so Β I wanted to highlight my personal favorite outfits from the last year of Modest Monday outfit posts!

For the very last Modest Monday post of 2013, we are going to run a contest! Send me 2 pictures (good quality, clutter free backgrounds) of you in one of your favorite modest outfits, and I will select some of them to publish on December 30th. You all will have a chance to vote on your favorite outfit submitted, and the winner with the most votes will win a $20 gift card to Deborah & Co. I think it sounds like so much fun! Please email them to: Caroline (@) deborahandco.com . When you send in your pictures, please include some information on the outfit, where you got it from, etc. If you have a blog send that link along also!

My Favorite Modest Monday Outfits From 2013

I love my necklace from Mialisia! It is so pretty, and adjustable as well. | themodestmomblog.com

I seldom wear long necklaces but I tried it out with this outfit and liked the result! Plus the cardigan is super soft!

Jean Skirt and Halftee with Tank

A casual outfit that I like wearing. The halftee under a tank top creates a different look.

Modest Monday and a LInk Up!

I like this long flowing skirt and I loved trying a sock bun for these pictures. πŸ™‚

Sean and Caroline at the Wishing Well_Snapseed

I love this Modest Monday post because my husband is in the pictures. πŸ™‚

Blue Dress With Halftee

LOVE this outfit, and I think this is the only time I’ve worn it! As soon as spring comes I’m pulling this dress out again!

Mother's Day Outfit

It’s not a surprise that this outfit made it on my favorite list, since it is on my Facebook cover!

Denim Skirt

My favorite Denim Skirt along with brown boots and a bun with Lilla Rose hair sticks!

Lilla Rose Hair

I loved how I fixed my hair in this outfit post. I need to do that again!

As we get near to the end of this year I just want to express again that my desire in doing these Modest Monday outfits is not so I can have fun and dress up each week and take glamour shots. It takes time, effort and help from my family to keep this weekly outfit post going. I do it because I want to give a vision of a blogger who posts outfits not to share the latest fashion, but to share feminine, modest ideas. I’m not perfect, my ideas might get boring, but until you all tell me to stop I will keep doing it for you. πŸ™‚

Link Up Time!

Please feel free to share posts about anything concerning being a godly feminine woman. Topics include: modesty, being a wife, mother, homeschooler, homemaker, cooking, sewing, etc.

Please grab the button below and share on your blog post so others can come and join in the link up as well!

  1. I don’t think you’re being showy! I love your style so you give me a lot of ideas and motivation. πŸ™‚ Lots of beautiful photos – I wish I could enter the contest but I just don’t have two good photos at this time. I’m looking forward to getting healthier in 2014 and building my wardrobe using frugal methods and some new outfits as the budget allows.

  2. Thanks for doing these modest monday shots. I know it takes time and effort! I like most of the outfits you post, and think they are so pretty. Please keep doing them! πŸ™‚

  3. Beautiful!! I love getting hot-weather ideas for modest outfits. It gets so hot and humid here and most things in the stores are far from modest.

I’m very new at dressing modestly, and your blog has been such an encouragement and support. In the past I never tried to look indecent, but God got ahold of my heart about two months ago that what I wear can be a stumbling block to men that are not my husband, and that I needed to be a better role model for my girls ages 8 & 11. I was actually nervous about telling my husband that I wanted to start wearing more skirts. I thought he might think I looked boring or strange. When I asked him what he thought about it, he got a big smile on his face and told me that I look beautiful in anything I wear as long as I have a smile on my face. I appreciate all the time it takes to blog and get pictures up on your site. With little ones, I can only imagine the sacrifice this blog takes. Thank you again and I look forward to lots more inspiration in the coming new year!

  5. I love this idea and contest! One question though- does it matter that I’m not skirts-only? I’d like to send in photos, but wanted to know if I should just send skirt/dress pictures? Thanks!!! And Merry Christmas!

  6. The rainbow denim skirt is my favorite too! πŸ™‚ I always love reading your Modest Mondays posts and getting some new ideas and encouragement! Thanks for doing them!

  7. Your Modest Monday posts are always encouraging, Caroline, thank you! Love the end-of-the-year round up and your idea for a contest. What fun!
Christmas Blessings to you and your family πŸ™‚

  8. Wishing you and yours, Caroline, a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for the link up and I love the modest mom outfits, especially the top photo with the periwinkle shirt and long string of beads. Blessings…

  9. I always enjoy your Modest Mondays and hope you will not stop in 2014!
