I have fond memories of using Doorposts Polished Cornerstones book when I was in highschool. I loved copying down the scriptures and studying the topics that were carefully chosen as being helpful for young ladies.

Plants Grown Up Review and Giveaway!

I always though Plants Grown Up (the book for young men like Polished Cornerstones) would be for my sons when they were much older, but I was wrong! Doorposts has redone it in the past few years, where now it is broken down into projects for younger boys to complete and projects for older boys.

Plants Grown Up Beginner

At the end of chapter there are projects to work on. These are broken up into Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Plants Grown Up intermediate

I love how the authors so carefully picked different assignments for the boys to do, depending on their maturity level.

Plants Grown up Advanced

The topics in Plants Grown Up are all needful to learn, in both physical, and spiritual character virtues that young men need to learn. You can see the topics and sample chapter here.

Doorposts has offered to giveaway a copy of either Plants Grown Up, or Polished Cornerstones to one reader! You can choose with copy you want based on your family’s need.

  1. Polished Cornerstones, Plants Grown Up, and the Doorposts charts were major fixtures in our home as our children were growing up. I spent hours with colored pencil filling in those charts and they were displayed in our home for years to remind our children of assigned chores and to assist in correction when behavior required it. We kept them for our children to use in home schooling one day. Catherine and I had special evenings set aside to work on the Ruby Doll.(She has kept it all these years.)

  2. Hello! I know this post is from a while ago, but it also the post that made me find your blog…which I have been enjoying for the last few months. I was just wondering if there was ever a winner for this giveaway…I don’t see a name in the widget box and have never noticed a post stating who won 🙂 Thank you!
