Last week felt long, the days were full of things to do and the days seemed to go slowly, which I actually prefer. Life is slipping by so fast and my children are growing way to fast, so I don’t mind it when a week goes by slowly.
My to do list is a mile long this week, but I’m praying to know exactly what the Lord has for me to do and to focus on that this week.
I forced myself to slow down on Sunday, to truly stop and rest, and try to refresh myself for the week ahead. A long nap with my three year old was wonderful.
If my smile looks forced it’s because I was freezing in these pictures! You can’t see it, but snow is covered on the ground everywhere around me, except for the porch area!
Black Shoes from Thrift Store – Thanks to my mother in law who frequently shops at Thrift Stores!
My Vintage Pearl Necklace – a visual reminder of who has my heart.
I curled my hair in hot rollers and then slipped a Lilla Rose headband on as we ran out the door.
I love that I don’t get headaches wearing these headbands, every other headband I’ve tried gives me the pressure headaches.
I’m adding a picture of Carrianna’s hair that I did on Sunday, she isn’t crazy about me braiding her hair (tears happen most of the time) so it’s rare that I get to fix it this way. I french braided it on both sides, and then I tied her braids together severals times, slipped in an x-small flexi clip and a few bobby pins, and it held securely until she yanked it out after church. Silly girl!

Thanks Caroline for the link up!
As always, I love your outfit! Thank you for encouraging woman that they can dress modestly and still look beautiful!
You look beautiful as always!
I do my own hair like your daughter’s with my flexi clips but never thought to do it on my own daughter’s. How do you keep all of those fine baby hairs in place?!
I use a water bottle and squirt her hair as I fix it, which helps keep the hair together. She still looks frizzy, but not as bad as normal.
I never imagined little girl’s hair would as hard to fix as it is!
Adorable outfit! I especially love your necklace.
Thanks for the party. I’m hosting my Homemaking Linkup Weekend and would love to have you join, if you haven’t already!
Blessings,
Mrs. Sarah Coller
I love your Modest Monday posts, Caroline. Question: what shoes do you wear during the week, especially in the winter? I wear shoes in the house and I love my sneakers, but I feel awfully frumpy wearing them with a skirt. But ‘dress shoes’ tire me out all day.
Another beautiful outfit! I just love the necklace! Thanks so much for hosting. Have a great week. Many blessings, Lisa
Beautiful as always. I look forward to Modest Mondays just to see what you put together. It’s encouraging to know your daughter doesn’t care to have her hair braided, because I tried a simple braid on my granddaughter–we’re visiting this week–and she yanked it out. I got her the sweetest mini flexi-clip last fall, but she only wants to look at it, NOT wear it. She just turned four. I’m hoping in time… .
I enjoyed reading your post and seeing your nice skirt and blouse your wore yesterday. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for hosting the linkup too!!
