This is supposed to be Modesty Monday and you are expecting the usual pictures of outfits and such. The problem is, I don’t have them this week.
Yesterday I spent the day in urgent care with my husband, only to discover that he has a broken foot.
Of course it’s in the worst place on your foot to break, they were hoping it was not broken in this certain place and it is. He was playing basketball with friends at the YMCA on Saturday night and there were balls rolling around the court (most of the dad’s brought their children along). He jumped up to shoot the ball, and when he landed he came right down on a ball rolling through the court and he heard his foot snap.
He will be going to a surgeon in five days to see if he needs surgery. Please pray that he does not require surgery! I’ve been researching supplements he can take to help his bones heal, if anyone has any tips or advice please leave a comment! We have not dealt with many breaks in our family.
All that being said, please forgive me this week for not having pictures. I’m posting the link up information below and feel free to still link up so everyone can visit your blog this week!

Lifting your husband up in prayer!
So sorry to hear what happened to your husband!
Wish him speedy recovery! I’ll keep you and your husband in my prayers!
Thanks for hosting the Link-Up!
So sorry to hear about your husband. My husband crushed his pinky finger in one of the machines at work over a year ago. They at first thought it would need surgery, and then they decided that the bones were so badly crushed there wasn’t even any place to put a pin in! Over a year later, although he doesn’t have FULL mobility in the finger (can’t straighten it all the way or bend it all the way) he is able to use it perfectly fine. God is great at healing!
I’m sorry about your husband’s accident. I pray it will heal quickly without the need for surgery. God bless you and your family.
Ouch! Just said a prayer for your husband.
I pray that husbands heals
And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. (Matthew 8:7 KJV)
My prays are with you and your family
Oh no! I will be praying for him and you all! ((HUGS)) and xoxox
How awful. I pray he gets well quickly. A good way to help heal the bone is to drink lots of bone broth. Make sure it has a good bit of gelatin in it. Here’s a good recipe: http://beta.primal-palate.com/recipe/bone-broth/
Here is the science behind bone broth: http://www.westonaprice.org/food-features/why-broth-is-beautiful?qh=YTozOntpOjA7czo1OiJicm90aCI7aToxO3M6NjoiYnJvdGhzIjtpOjI7czo3OiJicm90aCdzIjt9
Willow bark tea/tincture is good headache/pain reliever. Also Google castor oil for pain relief and swelling because you can make a warm compression wrap to place on the foot. Hope that helps some.
I’m so sorry about your husband’s foot. I will be holding you and yours up in prayer.
Comfrey is also known as knit bone.

Haven’t had to try it yet but want to have some on hand just in case!
Praying for your husband! Thanks for hosting, & God bless all of you.
I’ve heard wonderful results from using Dr. Christopher’s Bone/Flesh/Cartilage to speed up the healing of broken bones.

The person I knew who avoided a surgery used the rub externally and took an internal version. The article above recommends also using a cayenne rub, which I have used for mastitis and other pain and feel it works wonderfully.

I am praying for your husband and all of you! What a wild way to break your foot, huh?!
Hello Caroline,
If you are able to apply a poultice to the foot, I would be trying comfrey, which is also known as ‘knit bone’. The Bulk Herb Store has some good infomation on comfrey. Some helpful pages are:

Remember that God is in control of all things. Praying for His peace over each of you. 2 Thess 3:16
Blessings,

So sorry to hear that. Prayers coming your way… I have heard that egg shell water helps bone health. Also MSM (sulfur) is great for joints, so maybe that would help bones too.
My son had surgery to fuse bones in his neck with new bone taken from his rib back in September. The neurosurgeon told me NOT to give him ibuprofen because it could slow the bone grafting (healing) process. Even the nurses on the ICU unit did not know this and the doctor had to remind them to not give ibuprofen. We still don’t give it to him, 4 months later, because it can take up to a year for bones to heal completely.
Dear Mrs. Caroline, my family has used comfrey in the past to heal fractured and broken bones.
Here is a great detailed blog post about the herb itself.

I pray that Mr. Sean is healed quickly
Praying that he heals quickly and doesn’t need the surgery!
