Modest Monday and A Link Up!

It has been a HOT week here in Missouri! We are praying for rain. My husband’s lawn care business is really slow right now because the grass is just burning up.

In spite of all that we have been going to the local high school track and meeting friends to walk/run at the tract. We do relay races for the children, and the other mom and I walk for about 3 miles together. It’s been a nice family time. We have also been swimming at our neighbor’s in ground pool several times. I don’t go by myself as five children (none of whom can swim without life jackets or help yet) against 1 mama is a bit scary for me in the pool! It is a fun evening when we can all go together. And it’s such a blessing to have a place to take our children where we can swim alone and be modest!

I’ve been wearing my hair up a lot because it’s been so hot. Below is one hair style that I just started doing. It’s easy and looks elegant!

Boho Tired Skirt  – The Modest Mom

Black Shirt – Kohls (Clearance two years ago)

Sandals-Birki’s (Similar to these.  They are so comfortable!)

Flexi Clip-Lilla Rose

Make sure you come back tomorrow as I’m sharing a video tutorial on how to do this hairstyle!

Link Up Time!

Please feel free to share posts about anything concerning being a godly feminine woman. Topics include:  modesty, being a wife, mother, homeschooler, homemaker, cooking, sewing, etc.

Please note: My blog is a bit different as I represent a business and a blog. While I love to have you all link up your modest clothing outfits, ect. please be considerate of the fact that I own a modest clothing company, and I would ask that you refrain from linking up posts that are in conflict with that-i.e reviewing other companies clothes, ect. That being said, if you forget please do not be offended if I take down your post. Thank you!

Please grab the button below and share on your blog post so others can come and join in the link up as well! You can grab the code to this button on the right hand side of the blog.

This post is part of the weekly Christian Home Magazine, as the Modest Fashion post.

  1. I love how your hair matches the back of your shirt!

  2. Nice skirt, and I like the color. It goes with just about everything.

  3. That is a really pretty shirt.

  4. Hi! This is a PERFECT hairstyle for hot weather. Your hair is pulled back, it’s off your shoulders, and it looks great. I am very much a fan.

Hot weather is the time I give thanks for central air!! We hit the 100’s a few times last week, and HIGH humidity. And I have short hair no need to fuss w/a hairstyle.

    I love the shoes!!

  6. Yay! I can’t wait for the hair tutorial! 🙂 I LOVE hair tutorials. 😛

  7. HI!
